Farhan Saeed recently appeared on Ambreen Fatima’s YouTube show to promote his film alongside Mamya. During the interview, Farhan spoke about the welcoming nature of the Pakistani entertainment industry toward female actors.
Replying to the question, “When an older hero appears with a young actress, people have no issues but when an old actress appears on screen with a younger man, it becomes an issue. What’s your take on this?” Farhan Saeed said, “I think the Pakistani media industry is better than many other entertainment industries in the world. In Pakistan, many heroines have started their careers after becoming mothers. We are even ahead of Hollywood in this regard. In our neighbouring country, actresses are often considered retired after marriage. The Pakistani industry is very welcoming in this regard. Yes, criticism exists, but these actresses are still widely watched in Pakistan. Even older women have married younger men. We are quite open-minded and continue to consider actresses as heroines even after marriage and having children. Grandmothers are also appearing as heroines.
