A shocking CCTV video from Mandideep in Madhya Pradesh’s Raisen district has gone viral, showing a young man being deliberately run over by a car in the early hours of the morning.
The incident reportedly took place around 5 am in the Satlapur police station area. The victim, identified as Krishan Pal, an employee of HEG factory in Mandideep, was walking to his duty when the car struck him.
CCTV footage shows the driver hitting Krishan Pal and then reversing the vehicle to run over him again before fleeing the spot. The brutality of the act has triggered outrage on social media, where the video is being widely circulated.
Police from Satlapur station reached the scene soon after the incident and sent the body for postmortem. Based on the vehicle details captured on CCTV, officers traced the car and arrested the accused driver.
Station House Officer Vijay Singh confirmed over the phone that the accused has been identified and taken into custody. A case has been registered under multiple sections, and further questioning of the accused is underway.
Police said the investigation is ongoing and additional details will emerge after interrogation.
