Exuding understated glamour, this wedding was a beautiful celebration of love and togetherness

Yugandhara Tayade and Ninad’s wedding was a celebration of a love story that found its way back to where it began. Planned by WeddingSutra Favorite – Ever After Weddings, the festivities brought together thoughtful design, distinct event aesthetics and the warmth of an intimate gathering. What made the celebration especially personal was that Yugandhara, the founder of Ever After Weddings, was also the bride.

“Our story began 15 years ago, when we first dated. Years passed, life took its course, and then, two years ago, we met again,” shares Yugandhara. Reconnecting after years apart felt natural. “It felt effortless. Familiar. Like we had simply picked up a conversation that life had paused years ago.” Their journey eventually led them back to each other and, last December, to their wedding day.

The Sangeet set the tone with a glamorous, high-energy atmosphere. A striking LED backdrop featuring a dramatic tunnel of golden geometric lights became the focal point of the stage, while layers of fairy lights stretched across the ceiling to create a sparkling canopy overhead. Purple ambient lighting added a sophisticated party mood, while colourful confetti filled the air as family and friends came together for an evening of performances and dancing.

The Haldi embraced a vibrant and playful aesthetic. Shades of yellow and orange dominated the setting, complemented by a soft floral backdrop with pastel blooms and leafy details. The décor kept the focus on the rituals and the people, creating a cheerful setting for the couple to celebrate with their closest family and friends. With haldi, petals and plenty of laughter in the mix, the ceremony felt spontaneous and full of joy.

The wedding décor took a more romantic, garden-inspired turn. A dramatic floral installation framed the couple with an abundant mix of white, blush, pink and burgundy blooms, interspersed with cascading foliage. Antique gold accents and candlelight added warmth and understated grandeur, while layered floral arrangements brought a sense of intimacy to the space. The setting felt elegant yet inviting, allowing the couple to remain at the heart of the celebration.

Planning the wedding offered Yugandhara a perspective unlike any other, having spent years creating celebrations for other couples. This time, she was experiencing every detail as the bride herself. “Perhaps some love stories aren’t meant to happen all at once. Perhaps they need time, distance and a little growing up before they find their way home,” she reflects.

The experience also gave her a newfound appreciation for the process she had so often guided others through. “And this time, I had the rare privilege of being both the person planning every detail and the bride living every moment.” For Yugandhara, the journey was ultimately as meaningful as the celebration itself. “After planning so many weddings, I can say with certainty: there is nothing quite like planning your own happily ever after.”
