Karachi Kings have signed England batter Jason Roy for the ongoing 2026 Pakistan Super League (PSL 11) as a replacement for Muhammad Waseem, who has been released by the franchise due to national duty with the UAE.
The franchise also confirmed that Khuzaima bin Tanveer has left the squad for the same reason. Both players were asked to return immediately to take part in the UAE’s ongoing 50-over tournament.
While Jason Roy has now been drafted in for Waseem, Karachi Kings said the replacement for Khuzaima will be announced later.

Jason Roy is no stranger to the PSL. The 35-year-old previously played for Quetta Gladiators across five seasons from 2017 to 2024 and built a strong record in the tournament.
In 38 PSL matches, he has scored 1,260 runs at an average of 36 with a strike rate of 146.51. His tally includes two centuries and eight half-centuries.
His arrival gives Karachi a proven top-order option at an important stage of the tournament as the team looks to strengthen its campaign.
Karachi Kings are currently fourth on the points table with three wins and two defeats from five matches.
Their next game is against Islamabad United on April 16 at the National Bank Stadium in Karachi.
