It’s the end of an era for Broadway Haircutters. The building that houses the legacy small business on East Broadway is officially on the market.
Since 1974, Broadway Haircutters has been grooming Southie residents and beyond. It’s one of the longest-running businesses in the neighborhood, starting in 1960 as Charlie’s Barber Shop and later moving to its current location, which opened in 1974 as Broadway Haircutters, with three generations of haircutters: Charlie Sr., Charlie Jr., and current owner Karen.
Stephen McCarthy from Raveis recently posted on social media that the building is on the market.
Here is a unique opportunity at 670 East Broadway, South Boston. Commercial building home to Broadway Haircutters since 1974. Great location for your business or redevelop the space on a thriving East Broadway location.
We are sad to see it go. And a big thank you to the Trapano family for over 60 years of service and dedication to the community of South Boston!
Editor’s Note: We believe Broadway Haircutters was the home of the “Southie Cut” from back in the day. If you know, you know. I personally had one in fifth grade and was often mistaken for a boy.
