Trinamool Congress (TMC) leader Sukumar Dutta, who was arrested on charges of extortion and intimidation, faced public wrath as angry BJP workers hurled eggs at him while he was being escorted from the police station to the subdivisional court. The leader had to be protected by the police and armed personnel who eventually managed to disperse the crowd and safely transport him.
