The EFL fixtures have been announced, with West Ham’s highly anticipated clash against Millwall at The Den scheduled for September 19.
The Irons will face Burnley on the opening weekend of the new Championship season, after Wolves start their new campaign at home to Blackburn on 8pm on August 14.
League One champions Lincoln will travel to face Middlesbrough, while an all-Wales contest will be the Monday night game on August 17, between Cardiff City and Wrexham.
Southampton, who start the season on minus four points, face Middlesbrough on November 28 in a contest that will be overshadowed by the spygate scandal in this season’s play-offs.
The Championship season gets underway a week after clubs play their first competitive match of the season, in the first round of the League Cup.
Burnley, Wolves and West Ham will all be looking to bounce back into England’s top-flight, which was achieved by Ipswich Town this season.
The Clarets are without a manager following the departure of Scott Parker in May, who left the club after winning six games in all competitions.
West Ham have held onto their boss, Nuno Espirito Santo, despite dropping out of the Premier League after 14 seasons.

Wolves finished rock bottom of England’s top-flight this season, opting to part company with Rob Edwards and bring in Cesar Peixoto.
They’ve gone with experience in their signings so far, bringing in Kieran Trippier and a hero of the club, Raul Jimenez.
Peixoto, who led Gil Vicente to a sixth-placed finish in the Primeira Liga this season, is believed to be an “excellent fit” for the club.
Wolves executive chairman Nathan Shi said: “We wanted clear identity, strong leadership qualities and a real hunger to succeed.

“Cesar demonstrated all of those characteristics, but what impressed me most was his mentality, his work ethic and his willingness to embrace the challenge in front of him.
“He is young, energetic and ambitious, but he is also thoughtful, accountable and willing to challenge himself and those around him in pursuit of improvement.
“We believe he will be an excellent fit for the culture and vision we are building at Wolves.”
The new Wolves boss will be looking to follow in the footsteps of Nuno, who guided them to promotion from the Championship in 2018.

Upon signing with Wolves, Peixoto said: “I’m proud to be here at this big, historic club in England.
“It’s a big opportunity for me, and I’m prepared to do everything to put Wolves where it belongs in the Premier League.
“We have great players, but I think the team can improve a lot with me, and I can improve as a technical head coach.
“I want to put my identity onto the team, build a strong identity at the club and also help the team to grow by showing my identity and my way of playing.
“This is an amazing club, and it is important for me to make Wolves play in a way which reflects the fans.
“It’s a hard-working city with a lot of energy and a lot of passion, and I want them to see a team which plays an offensive game, with good organisation and a team who play for the fans.
“I want the supporters to be proud of our players, be proud of the way we play and the way we fight game after game to bring the victory, and to achieve the main aim, which is to put Wolves back in the Premier League.”
