Dr Omer Adil Advises Vasay Chaudhary to Retire

Dr Omer Adil is a renowned Pakistani orthopedic surgeon, medical professor, film critic, and public speaker. He rose to prominence through his commentary on iconic Pakistani films and artists. He is known to the younger generation through his fearless digital media rants on corruption in Pakistani institutions.

Recently, Dr Omer Adil appeared as a guest on Public Demand Season 2, hosted by Mohsin Abbas Haider. During the show, he advised Vasay Chaudhary to stop writing films.

Responding to a question about whether Pakistan has good writers and musicians for films, he said, “Let me tell you one thing, Pakistan lacks good story writers and storytellers. Most of the recent films flopped because of bad scripts. The basis of a film is its script. All films you produced were poorly written. First of all, I would request a few people to leave the industry respectfully because it’s not a job they are capable of. Young writers can write wonderful scripts, but Vasay Chaudhary is not among these young writers. Neither are you young, nor are you a writer. The recent film you wrote was miserable, and we know that you gave yourself a character inspired by Johnny Depp in the film to enjoy a vacation in the United Kingdom.”

He further taunted Mohsin Abbas Haider for not adding his remarks, suggesting it was due to his links with Vasay Chaudhary and Karachi filmmakers. Watch here:
