Goodrem’s Eurovision entry ‘Eclipse’ has quickly soared to success in the run-up to the competition. Her performance — complete with a golden piano, eclipse visuals and a levitating finale — has triggered viral social media reactions and she has firmly positioned herself within the top tier of contenders. After her semi-final performance, she rocketed up to second place in fan polls, with many tipping her as a genuine challenger for the win.

The Australian joins Bulgaria, Ukraine, Norway, Romania, Malta Cyprus, Albania, Denmark and Czechia as other second semi-final qualifiers on the Grand Final stage.

Entries from the UK and host Austria, who have both already qualified for the final, also performed on Thursday evening (Friday morning AWST).

Due to perform on the biggest stage of the competition on Saturday evening in Vienna (early Sunday morning AWST), Goodrem will battle it out against a competitive field led by Finland’s Linda Lampenius and Pete Parkkonen, whose violin‑driven track “Liekinheitin” has consistently topped betting odds and fan predictions heading into the final.

While previous Aussie contenders like Voyager or Montaigne leaned into niche genres or experimental staging, Goodrem brings a classic Eurovision weapon: a huge, emotional power ballad delivered by a globally recognised artist with proven vocal credibility.
