David Warner Slams Former Indian Cricketer for Spreading Fake Propaganda Over Viral PSL 11 Incident

Karachi Kings captain David Warner has responded former Indian cricketer Ajay Jadeja for spreading misinformation over a viral video of him and his teammate Moeen Ali during their Pakistan Super League (PSL 11).

The incident took place after the match between Karachi Kings and RawalPindiz at the Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore

The clip, widely shared on social media, shows David Warner gesturing and moving toward Moeen Ali during the post-match handshake after Karachi’s five-wicket win.

The footage led to speculation of a heated confrontation between the two players, especially as team director Haider Azhar stepped in and guided Warner away.

Addressing the reaction, David Warner denied there was any argument and said the situation had been misunderstood.

“Calm down, mate. You have zero context. Our manager always wants to shake hands first. Has nothing to do with Mo – it’s called team banter,” Warner wrote on X.

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 calm down mate. You have zero context. The 🤡 our manager always wants to shake hands first . Has nothing to do with Mo 🤣🤣 it’s called team banter

Haider Azhar also rejected the speculation, backing his captain’s statement. “Not true! Both of them were making fun of me!” he said.

The incident followed a dramatic finish. Karachi needed five runs in the final over when Moeen was dismissed LBW on the first ball, briefly increasing pressure before Abbas Afridi sealed the win with a first-ball six.

David Warner, who had earlier anchored the chase with a crucial half-century, appeared visibly animated after the victory, which contributed to how the moment was interpreted.

The video quickly drew mixed reactions from fans, with some suggesting internal tensions while others saw it as a reflection of the intensity of a close match.

Despite Warner’s clarification, the clip continues to circulate online, with debate ongoing about the nature of the exchange. The situation has also drawn attention because Warner had praised Moeen just days earlier for his performance in a previous Karachi Kings win.

Meanwhile, another video of Warner from the same match has also gone viral, with captions claiming he was laughing at what was described as poor fielding by RawalPindiz players. The footage showed Warner smiling, which led to criticism.

Warner addressed that claim as well, saying his reaction had been misinterpreted.

“Incorrect – I was not laughing at the drop catch. Let’s be clear on one thing. When a camera pans to a player, don’t insinuate anything, please. Just watch cricket and enjoy it for what it is. Thanks,” he wrote.

Despite his explanations, both videos continue to circulate widely, with ongoing reactions from fans.
