Romeo Beckham is stepping into the world of acting with his debut role in Forty Love, a gay tennis romance film.
The 23-year-old, whose parents are football icon David and fashion mogul Victoria Beckham, will portray a magnetic rival opposite French star Paul Kircher, who plays tennis prodigy, Sacha Gallo.
Fashion photographer Pierre-Ange Carlotti is making his directorial debut with the project, which is being produced by Hugo Sélignac and Paco de Bary at Chi-Fou-Mi Productions.
Studiocanal and Manna Studios are serving as co-producers on the film, with first-look images now released showing the young Beckham alongside his co-star.

The plot centres on Mr Kircher’s character Sacha Gallo, a tennis star who has spent years preparing alongside his father to claim a prestigious title in Paris.
His world is turned upside down when Romeo’s charismatic newcomer enters the scene, forcing Sacha to question his understanding of rivalry, ambition and his own identity.
The film’s synopsis describes how the protagonist encounters “an opponent of an entirely different nature — love.
“A force as exhilarating as it is destabilising and far more dangerous than anything he has encountered on the court.”

The production has been characterised as possessing “a rare tenderness, melancholy and strength.”
Romeo has spent several years building a career in front of the camera as a model rather than an actor, working with prestigious fashion houses such as Yves Saint Laurent and Balenciaga, whilst maintaining a long-standing relationship with Burberry.
In October 2024, he walked in Demna’s spring/summer 2025 Balenciaga presentation in Paris, followed by an appearance on the Versace runway at Milan Fashion Week the subsequent season.
Chloe Marquet, head of international sales at Studiocanal, said: “Carlotti’s singular visual language gives the film a real edge, while its exploration of desire, competition and identity will resonate with audiences worldwide.”

Producer Hugo Sélignac described the project as a “sensual, romantic and deeply moving romantic fable and coming-of-age story”.
Romeo’s acting breakthrough comes amid continued scrutiny of the Beckham family, with reports of an ongoing rift between his older brother Brooklyn Beckham and parents David and Victoria Beckham.
Reports of tension within the family first emerged around the time of Brooklyn’s 2022 wedding to actress Nicola Peltz.
Speculation intensified in recent years amid claims of strained relationships between Nicola and Victoria Beckham, which both women have previously downplayed.
The situation has since reportedly widened to include other members of the family, with Brooklyn and Nicola said to have distanced themselves from David, Victoria and his siblings.
Neither side has publicly detailed the full reasons behind the alleged fallout.
The family feud has dominated headlines in recent months, with Brooklyn and his wife Nicola Peltz reportedly distancing themselves from the wider Beckham clan.

Just this week, reports claimed Brooklyn was left “furious” after David and Victoria included him in their Father’s Day social media tributes despite allegedly asking not to feature in their online posts.
Sources told The Sun that the eldest Beckham child felt his wishes had been ignored, further deepening tensions between the couple and the rest of the family.
Neither Brooklyn nor Nicola publicly acknowledged the tributes, with reports suggesting the pair have had little contact with David, Victoria and their siblings in recent months.
