The dogs, Greg and Callie, “are a couple of sweethearts and I hope someone out there gives them their forever home,” the Sudbury native said.
Actor Chris Evans recently made a video spotlighting two dogs from the Animal Rescue League of Boston who were in need of a new home.
The Sudbury native sat down for a “Dream Date” with the site The Dodo and dogs Greg and Carly, a bonded pair of dogs that needed to be adopted together.
To find out if Evans and the dogs were a good match, they played, ate treats, and answered a few questions about Evan’s dogs and first few months of fatherhood.
As a father to a 10-month-old girl, Evans learned “how much you miss them” even when they’re just napping, he said. “You miss her while you’re holding her … you just want to be around her all the time.”
His boxer mix Dodger is “so loving [and] so protective” of his daughter, he said. “He’ll sleep outside of her room while she’s napping.”
Although Greg had little interest in Evans, the dogs “are a couple of sweethearts and I hope someone out there gives them their forever home,” he said.
Greg and Carly, who was renamed Callie, have since found their forever home, and their owners are sharing photos and videos on the Instagram account, @lifewithgregandcallie.
