The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has arrested the alleged kingpin of the NEET undergraduate paper leak case in Pune. The accused, a retired chemistry professor from Latur who ran private coaching classes, was involved in the examination process on behalf of the National Testing Agency and had access to the question papers. The arrest follows a thorough interrogation and nationwide searches by the investigative agency, which resulted in the seizure of incriminating documents, electronic gadgets, and mobile phones. The investigation revealed a widespread network facilitating the leak. The leaked paper was allegedly supplied from Nashik to Gurugram, and subsequently to Rajasthan. The network involved multiple individuals across Maharashtra, including suspects from Pune and Aundh, who were linked to the arrested professor.
