Serious allegations of corruption have emerged in the recruitment of 400 Veterinary Officer posts by the Karnataka Public Service Commission (KPSC), with candidates claiming that middlemen demanded up to Rs 80 lakh to influence the final selection process.
Candidates alleged that the recruitment for 342 regular posts and 58 backlog vacancies was manipulated through agents. They have released audio recordings, photographs and videos, including purported conversations involving alleged middlemen, as part of what they described as a sting operation.
Veterinary doctors staged a protest outside the Vidhana Soudha Police Station, demanding a fair and transparent investigation into the alleged recruitment scam.
The allegations have not been independently verified, and there has been no immediate response from the KPSC.
