Canberra United continue to pack out their squad ahead of the 2026/27 Ninja A-League season, with confirmation they’ve signed four new players as well as re-signed eight more members from last season’s first team squad.
As the countdown continues ahead of Matchweek 1 Canberra have gone on a signing spree, with confirmation the club has brought defender Madison Ayson back to McKellar Park following a season with Sydney FC.
Joining Ayson in the Capital will be Canberra United academy product Sarah Morgan, who’s signed a one-year deal with the club after spending three season with Adelaide United.

Morgan will also be joined by former Adelaide United teammate Zoe Tolland, with the defender also heading north from South Australia ahead of the upcoming campaign.
Meanwhile current New Zealand international Kelli Brown has also put pen-to-paper on a deal with the club after moving on from Newcastle Jets.
When it comes to re-signings the club has also been busy, with news Coco Majstorovic, Eliza Evans, Sasha Grove, Sofia Christopherson, Darcey Malone, Nanako Sasaki, Lillian Skelly and Sienna Dale have all put pen-to-paper on new deals to remain at McKellar Park for another season.
Majstorovic is set to enter her fourth campaign in the nation’s Capital, having provided depth and experience in goal since making her McKellar Park debut in December 2023.

She will continue to work alongside Evans, one of the youngest members of Canberra’s squad, as the 2026/27 campaign approaches.
Grove and Christopherson will remain in head coach Antoni Jagarinec’s defensive unit, with Grove making 21 appearances and scoring four goals last season.
The defender’s 2025 campaign also included a Sport Australia Hall of Fame Scholarship and selection for the Young Matildas at the AFC U20 Women’s Asian Cup and FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup.
Christopherson, a Canberra Academy graduate who has spent her entire senior career with United, made 17 appearances and scored once during the 2025/26 season.

In midfield, Malone has made 41 appearances across her two seasons with Canberra and can operate in a variety of roles.
Sasaki made 19 appearances in her first season with United following her move from Adelaide United, contributing one goal and three assists.
United will also retain two of their promising young players in Skelly and Dale, with the pair set to continue their development under Jagarinec this season.
Skelly enters the new campaign as a premiership winner after helping Belconnen United claim back-to-back Capital Football NPL Women’s First Grade titles earlier this month.

Dale made 15 appearances and scored twice in her first season with Canberra and was recently selected in the Young Matildas squad for the AFC U20 Women’s Asian Cup.
“This is a really pleasing group of re-signings for us,” said Jagarinec after the eight deals were officially confirmed.
“Coco and Eliza give us good depth and reliability in our goalkeeping squad, Sasha and Sofia bring genuine pace, Darcey and Nanako give us control in the middle of the park, and Lillian and Sienna are two of the most exciting young players in this squad.
“Keeping this much of our group together heading into this season says a lot about where this club is at.”
Canberra United’s 2026/27 Ninja A-League season begins away to Central Coast Mariners on 24 October, before their first home match against Western Sydney Wanderers at McKellar Park on 1 November.
