Boston police are asking the public to help identify a man allegedly connected to an assault and battery near Faneuil Hall over the weekend.

“The suspect is described as a black male wearing a white top, dark-colored pants, and brown shoes,” the Boston Police Department said.

Investigators suspect the man is 40- to 50-years old, Boston police said.

The alleged assault and battery incident happened near Faneuil Hall on Sunday at 3:15 a.m., BPD posted to social media.

The victim allegedly suffered serious injuries during the attack, police said.

Anyone with information is “strongly urged” to notify police at 617) 343-4571, or via BPD’s anonymous tip line, city police said.
