Boston police seek missing boy, 15

Lafayette LaGrant-Gomes was last seen Tuesday afternoon near Blue Hill Avenue in Dorchester, according to Boston police.

Boston police are asking for the public’s help locating a missing 15-year-old Dorchester boy who was last seen earlier this week near Blue Hill Avenue, authorities said Friday.

Lafayette LaGrant-Gomes was reported missing on Wednesday after leaving his home and failing to return, according to the Boston Police Department. He was last seen around 1 p.m. Tuesday near 965 Blue Hill Ave. in Dorchester, investigators said.

Police described LaGrant-Gomes as a Black male, roughly 5 feet 8 inches tall with a thin build, brown eyes, and black hair. They said he is known to visit Columbia Road, Downtown Crossing, Ames Street, and Harambee Park.

Detectives assigned to District B-3, which covers Mattapan and Dorchester, are actively investigating the circumstances surrounding his disappearance, police said.

Anyone with information about LaGrant-Gomes’ whereabouts is asked to call 911 or contact District B-3 detectives at 617-343-4712. Anonymous tips can also be submitted through Boston Police CrimeStoppers by phone at 1-800-494-TIPS, by text by sending “TIP” to CRIME (27463), or online through the department’s website.
