In a peculiar case, a special court in Bengaluru on Tuesday directed the Tumakuru police to register a First Information Report (FIR) and conduct an investigation against Karnataka Home Minister G. Parameshwara and Tumakuru Deputy Commissioner (DC) Subha Kalyan, an IAS officer, on the allegation of indulging in illegal betting during a public Kabbadi tournament held in October 2025.
K.N. Shivakumar, judge of the special court of magistrate for criminal cases against former and present MPs and MLAs, passed the order on a private private complaint filed by H.R. Nagabushan.
