AUSTRALIAN IDOL Top 30 face toughest test yet

Australian Idol Top 30 locked in as pressure builds for brutal next round

Four more contenders have secured their spots in the Australian Idol Top 30, with the hit Seven and 7plus series edging closer to its most demanding phase yet.

After thousands of hopefuls auditioned for their shot at stardom, only a select few were handed a coveted Golden Ticket. Now, the competition intensifies as the remaining singers prepare to face a fresh round of high-stakes challenges.

In what has been described as the show’s boldest season, judges Marcia Hines, Kyle Sandilands and Amy Shark will put the Top 30 through a series of tests designed to examine more than just vocal ability.

According to the judging panel, success on Idol takes more than a strong set of pipes.

“We have assembled a spectacular Top 30. It’s a great mix of style and sound,” Amy Shark said.

Marcia Hines added: “Top 30 is all about who sinks and who will swim.”

The pressure is only set to mount.

“We need someone who can learn a song overnight, who can collaborate and command a crowd,” Amy Shark explained.

And Kyle Sandilands made it clear the competition will not be softened for anyone chasing a dream.

“We don’t hand out participation medals here. We are looking for the Australian Idol.”

Nine contestants will be sent home in the next stage, narrowing the field as the search continues for the next Idol.
