Australian indie artist Matt Corby is officially heading back on the road, announcing a brand new national tour set to hit the city this June.
The Tragic Magic Tour will see the ARIA Award-winning artist perform at Thebarton Theatre on Wednesday, June 3rd, marking his return to local stages with what’s expected to be one of his most intimate and powerful live shows yet.
The tour celebrates Matt’s upcoming fourth studio album Tragic Magic, due for release on April 17th, and promises a new chapter from one of Australia’s most distinctive voices.
Known for his soulful sound and captivating stage presence, Matt has built a reputation as one of the country’s most compelling live performers. With a plethora of stripped-back ballads and layered, atmospheric tracks, his shows are all about connection, pulling audiences in and holding them there.
Joining him on the tour is special guest Gretta Ray, who continues to make waves with her emotional songwriting and polished pop sound. Having toured alongside major acts and released two acclaimed albums, she’s set to be the perfect addition to the lineup.
The national run will kick off in Adelaide before heading to Perth, Melbourne, Newcastle and Brisbane, bringing Matt’s signature sound to some of the country’s most-loved venues.
Fans can expect to hear new tracks from Tragic Magic, alongside favourites from across his catalogue, including hits like “Brother,” which remains one of Australia’s most iconic songs of the past decade, along with standouts like “Resolution” and “Miracle Love.”
The upcoming album has already been teased with singles including “Burn It Down,” “Long and Short” and “War To Love,” offering a glimpse into a record that continues Corby’s evolution as both a songwriter and producer.
Tickets for the tour go on sale Monday, April 13th at 11am, with a Frontier Touring presale kicking off on Friday, April 10th.
With a reputation for selling out and delivering unforgettable live moments, this is one show Adelaide fans won’t want to miss.
