The Alpine A310 Vision, which is designed to celebrate the original car’s 55th birthday, was unveiled at the 2026 Paris motor show this week.
Launched in 1971, the A310 was envisioned as a larger and more relaxed sibling for the A110, which was sportier and had a successful rally-racing career.
While the A310 Vision contains elements from the original A310, it also mixes in cues from the later V6 and GT models, including the latter’s pumped up wheel arches, rear wing, and sharper and more heavily creased bodywork.

Although the original A310, which was produced until 1984, had seating for four, the Vision concept has just two seats.
Officially, the A310 Vision is a “one-off concept” that it is a “creative exploration of Alpine’s heritage rather than the announcement of a future production model”.
Autocar understands the concept was given the model code PS1 (or Projet Spécial 1), indicating it could form the basis for a limited-run model.

The A310 Vision is based on the Alpine Performance Platform (APP), an EV-first architecture with two battery packs: a small one under the bonnet, and a main unit behind the cabin. While this layout adds extra complexity, Alpine says this setup allows for a lower seating position and a more spacious cabin.
An internal combustion engine can inserted into APP, with Philippe Krief, Alpineâs CEO, telling Autocar earlier this year that with âsome small modifications on the platform we can accommodate an engine, gearbox, fuel tank and all you needâ with petrol drivetrain essentially replacing the main battery unit.
The upcoming all-electric A110 is based on APP, and its styling is being previewed by a sculpture on display at the Paris show.
The A310’s power output and battery specs are completely unknown as Alpine hasn’t provided any details about the A310 Vision’s drivetrain.

Despite its dramatic supercar styling, the original Alpine A310 was launched with a 91kW 1.6-litre carbureted four-cylinder engine. Thanks to its heavier body chassis, performance was said to be leisurely, but it wasn’t until 1976 that the A310 gained a 110kW 2.7-litre V6.
Hopefully if the A310 Vision goes into limited production Alpine will provide the coupe with sufficient spuds from the start.
