Captain Abdullah Mehmud is a retired Pakistan Army officer famously known for portraying the iconic character of Captain Kashif in the hit PTV drama series Alpha Bravo Charlie, which aired in 1998. The drama featured the story of three competent army officers — Kashif, Faraz, and Gulsher. It was an ISPR production directed by ace director Shoaib Mansoor. The drama was also a sequel to ISPR’s Sunehrey Din.
Recently, retired Captain Abdullah Mehmud, who is also known as Captain Kashif, was spotted at an event where he recalled filming one of the most dangerous scenes in which he was hanging from a helicopter.
Replying to the question, “What was the most memorable moment of Alpha Bravo Charlie that you want to share with us?” he said, “What I remember the most is the helicopter scene where I was hanging from the helicopter. When it went up, my heartbeat almost skipped. I looked down at the mountains and realized, ‘Dude, if you fall from this height, you will be smashed.’ But thankfully, it didn’t happen, and I am here. We will keep fighting for our motherland.” Watch here:
