US President Donald Trump has launched a new scathing attack on Iran, threatening the Middle East nation will “pay the price” after taking “too long to negotiate a deal.”
“Iran is all talk and no action. The Bully of the Middle East is DEAD!!! They’ve taken too long to negotiate a deal that would have been great for them, now they will have to pay the price!!!” Trump posted on Truth Social.
The president did not specify what “the price” would entail but it comes after the US said it launched a new wave of strikes against Iran Tuesday after an Army Apache helicopter went down near the Strait of Hormuz.

A US official told CNN yesterday that the new strikes were intended as a warning shot at Iran and that the US believes they won’t hinder negotiations to end the war.
Trump’s latest post comes after he told reporters earlier in the week that the two countries could come to a deal within two or three days.
The president also said on Wednesday that the military may resume targeting critical infrastructure in Iran as peace talks falter.
“I may keep going,” Trump told Fox News Wednesday. “They had a chance to sign a deal and survive.”

Trump also provided more details about the incident where an Iranian drone struck an Apache helicopter.
He said the drone, while on fire, became “lodged between the two pilots.” The drone, however, did not explode, as the pilots brought the helicopter down to the water and were able to safely escape.
Allies condemn Iran ‘plotting’ in US, Europe, Australia
The United States, Australia, the United Kingdom and other countries have condemned Iran-backed groups’ plots to kill Iranian dissidents, journalists and Jewish communities in a joint statement.
“We stand united in our determination to protect our countries and our people against these threats. The Islamic Republic of Iran must halt these actions now,” the statement released by the UK government said.
The 22 countries – most of them in Europe – cited “lethal plotting” and other actions by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps-Intelligence Organisation, Quds Force and Ministry of Intelligence and Security.

They also condemned a recent spate of attacks across Europe claimed by pro-Iranian group Harakat Ashab al-Yamin al-Islamiya (HAYI).
“Attempts to kill, kidnap, harass, intimidate, or otherwise attack people on our soil, undermines national sovereignty and international norms. These actions must stop immediately,” the countries wrote.
“The relationship between Iranian security services and international and local criminal groups is long standing,” they said.
“Their use of these groups is deplorable.”
