Pakistan Army finished on top of the medal standings at the 35th National Games 2025 in Karachi, after reaching the landmark of 200 gold medals across athletics, swimming and several team sports, according to the updated final medal table.
The Army ended the Games with a total of 353 medals, including 200 gold, 97 silver and 56 bronze. The achievement marked an improvement from the previous edition of the National Games held in Quetta in 2023, where the Army had won 199 gold medals.
Water and Power Development Authority (WAPDA) secured second position with 85 gold, 73 silver, and 74 bronze medals, taking their overall tally to 232 medals. Pakistan Navy finished third with 36 gold, 39 silve,r and 35 bronze medals, for a total of 110 medals.
Among the provinces, Punjab led the medal race with 16 gold medals and 126 total medals, followed by the Higher Education Commission (HEC) with 14 gold medals and 118 overall medals. Sindh finished sixth overall, claiming 11 gold medals and 96 medals in total.
Other teams on the table included Pakistan Air Force (PAF) with 10 gold medals, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa with five, Balochistan with four, and Railways with three gold medals. Islamabad secured two gold medals, while Police finished with one gold medal.
Gilgit Baltistan and Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) did not win any gold medals, each finishing with seven bronze medals.
Overall, a total of 1,294 medals were awarded at the Games, including 387 gold, 371 silver, and 536 bronze medals.
