Dr. Nabiha Ali Khan is a clinical psychologist, former news anchor, and digital influencer who is known for her controversial and sensational statements which go viral on digital media platforms. She gained recognition after her regressive statements against Pakistani women went viral on multiple social media pages. After her viral posts, Dr. Nabiha did not stop and continued sharing more regressive opinions about women on public platforms. On November 7th, she married her colleague Haris Khokhar and sparked social media backlash with her back-to-back statements on her marriage.
Recently, Dr. Nabiha Ali Khan has been making rounds for her strange statement about dancer and intersex person Mehek Malik, which she discussed on Aroosa Khan’s podcast.
Talking about it, Dr Nabiha Ali Khan said, “I get respect from people who are close to Allah. I admire such people a lot. I want to sit with them. It’s not that you start taking veil and you become pious or Waliullah — it’s not like that. Stay modern and preach Islam. We used to hear that a time will come when modern people will be Allah’s wali, and they will be preaching Islam. I think this is the time when we can meet people with modern attire who are closer to Allah . I see good attributes in everyone. For example, in Mehek Malik, I have seen multiple good qualities. She is a soft hearted person who is running so many households. I am not concerned with what she is doing or how she is earning. I have nothing to do with her profession, I only know how many people she is feeding. I am not concerned about her source of earnings. Even Allah says you should not be concerned about others’ lives.
