What if fallen leaves could help cook meals for 1,200 students? 🍃🔥

At IIT Bombay, that’s exactly what’s happening!

With support from IIT Bombay-funded startup Infixen, garden waste is getting a remarkable second life.

Nearly 2 tonnes of garden waste generated daily are being converted into fuel pellets that help power the kitchen at Hostel 16.

The impact? 60% less LPG consumption while preparing meals for over 1,200 students! 💚

The same waste that once cost the institute nearly ₹50 lakh annually to transport away is now becoming a valuable resource.

Less waste. Less fuel consumption. More sustainable meals.

A powerful reminder that sometimes, the solutions to our biggest environmental challenges are right beneath our feet!
