2027 Zeekr 7X update: More power, same price

The 2027 Zeekr 7X electric SUV features a few minor exterior and interior tweaks, as well as a more powerful set of electric motors.

Visually there’s little to distinguish the 2027 model from earlier iterations. Those with eagle eyes might notice the revised front air intakes, narrower active grille shutter and redesigned rear diffuser.

The rear licence plate has been moved from the bumper to the tailgate, and a new colour scheme has been added: Tech Grey paint for the lower body with a black roof.

The three-tier model structure, as well as the pricing, are unchanged. The RWD model kicks things off at $57,900, the Long Range RWD sits in the middle with a $63,900 sticker price, and the Performance AWD tops things off at $72,900. All listed prices exclude on-road costs.

All three models have updated motors, boosting power by 25kW and torque by 80Nm. Battery specs are unchanged, with the RWD supporting DC fast charging up to 450kW and the other models going up to 420kW. AC charging maxes out at 22kW.

Australia, as well as Europe, misses out on the 900V electrical architecture used in models sold in China. Locally-delivered 7X SUVs continue to be fitted with a 800V system instead.

Despite the improved performance, the WLTP range ratings have improved marginally.

Step up to the Long Range RWD and not only is there a bigger battery, but also Nappa leather seats, front seats with ventilation and massaging functionality, a 36.2-inch augmented reality head up display, a heated steering wheel, powered rear window shades, and a 21-speaker sound system.

At the top of the range is the Performance AWD, which comes with air suspension, 21-inch forged alloy wheels, a camera to monitor that allows the driver to see what’s happening in the second row via the central touchscreen, and automatic doors.

An optional Black Package for the Performance AWD mates an Onyx Black body with 20-inch black alloy wheels, black trim, and a black Nappa leather interior.

The 7X’s safety package centres around a package of seven cameras and three radar units. Standard features include a 360-degree camera system, traffic sign recognition, autonomous emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, blind spot monitoring, lane keeping assist, front and rear cross traffic alert, and evasive manoeuvre assist.
