A Boston woman is facing a manslaughter charge in connection with the death of her 4-year-old daughter from fentanyl ingestion.

Liyanna Bautista Familia died Aug. 18 “as a result of ingesting fentanyl,” the Suffolk County District Attorney’s office said in a press release.

Her mother, Dayanna Familia, 35, was arrested over the weekend by the Boston Police Department, the DA’s office said.

Familia is scheduled to be arraigned Monday in Dorchester BMC. She is also charged with possessing class A drugs, withholding evidence, intimidation, and reckless endangerment of a child, court records show.

Attorney information for Familia was not immediately available Sunday evening.
