He was taken to Mascot Police Station and charged with murder before being refused bail ahead of a court appearance on Saturday.

The investigation began in March 2023, when police investigating the alleged supply of drugs in Caringbah uncovered links to the disappearance of a 22-year-old man from Peakhurst.

On May 12 that year, detectives searching Warrell Creek at Macksville found the man’s body concealed inside a large metal cabinet.

The 26-year-old was identified during ongoing investigations and was allegedly living in Poland before his arrest.

Police worked with Polish authorities and national law enforcement partners to secure his arrest and extradition to Australia.

Two other men, aged 22 and 33, have also been charged over the alleged murder, with the matters since finalised in court.
