A grassroots leadership movement has announced plans to contest upcoming local body elections in Tamil Nadu once the state government declares the schedule. The initiative aims to usher in change from the village level to the state assembly. A leadership centre in Coimbatore is scheduled to open to train grassroots candidates over three years, preparing individuals for future electoral participation. A group of women candidates from across the state has been selected for the initial phase of grassroots training. The organisation intends to transition from a public movement into a political party contesting future elections.
