The Patriots may have dodged the grim prospect of losing starting left tackle Will Campbell to injury for a long period of time, according to a new report.

Per The Ringer’s Tom Pelissero, Campbell “avoided a major knee injury Sunday, tests confirmed.”

“He’s considered week-to-week,” Pelissero added.

Campbell, 22, exited the Patriots’ 45-17 win over the Raiders on Sunday with what appeared to be a serious knee injury in the second quarter.

After the game, NFL Media’s Ian Rapoport noted that Campbell was “believed to have suffered a knee sprain,” and would “miss some time.”

Drafted fourth overall in 2025, the second-year offensive lineman sustained a Grade 3 torn MCL in the same knee a year ago, missing four games last November (and not appearing to return to the same level after he returned to the lineup in the playoffs).

According to ESPN’s Cameron Wolfe, the Patriots see Campbell’s injury this year as not being as severe as the one he dealt with during his rookie season. Still, there is currently no timeline on his return date.

Campbell was one of multiple Patriots to sustain injuries in the Week 5 over Las Vegas. Running back TreVeyon Henderson also left the game in the second quarter, and is reportedly set to miss “multiple weeks” due to a high-ankle sprain.
