Drouin crash: Driver airlifted to hospital after hitting tree, being thrown from car on Main Neerim Road

A Victorian motorist has been airlifted to hospital after crashing into a tree and being thrown from their vehicle on Saturday morning.

Emergency crews raced to Main Neerim Road, near Myers Road about 90 kms east of Melbourne, about 5.30am after reports a Toyota Hilux utility, towing a trailer with a car, left the road and slammed into a tree.

The driver, a 29-year-old Neerim man, was thrown from the vehicle upon impact and suffered life-threatening-injuries.

Paramedics airlifted the man to hospital in a stable condition.

“Police are appealing for motorists with dashcam who were driving on Main Neerim Road at the time or anyone who witnessed the collision to come forward,” Victoria Police said in a statement provided to The Nightly.
