A dog was also recovered from the boat crash and has been reunited with its family, officials said.
A 67-year-old man died and a search remains underway for another man following a boat crash on Saturday near Singing Beach in Manchester-by-the-Sea, officials said.
Multiple agencies responded around 4:30 p.m. after the U.S. Coast Guard received reports of a “vessel in distress,” the Manchester-by-the-Sea Police Department said.

The vessel, which had been carrying three passengers and a dog, was found with no people onboard, the Coast Guard said in a press release.
Authorities safely recovered a dog from the boat, which has since been reunited with its family, the Coast Guard said.
Responders rescued two men, ages 67 and 65, from the water and took them to hospitals, the Essex County District Attorney’s office said in a statement.
The 67-year-old man was later pronounced dead, the DA’s office said. Officials had not released his identity as of Sunday night.
Authorities are still searching for a third passenger, a 37-year-old man, the DA’s office said.
A search continued around 9:45 a.m. Sunday with a side-scan sonar and dive team, according to the Coast Guard. The agency suspended its search later in the day.
“The decision to suspend a search is never made lightly,” Capt. Jamie Frederick, Sector Boston Commander, said. “Our deepest condolences are with the family and loved ones affected by this tragedy. We are grateful to our local, state, and federal partners who supported the search efforts.”
