Ardo
There’s something special about walking into a place you’ve known for years and discovering it has an entirely new feel.
That’s the experience at Robe’s former Sails, which has officially reopened as Ardo after months of renovations, planning and plenty of long days for owners Jack and Tayla Edwards. After welcoming guests for a soft launch and grand opening, the couple finally got to see the space they had been working towards come to life.

From a home kitchen, to the Adelaide Central Markets and now it’s very own home on Grenfell Street, Bun Voyage has travelled far and wide to now find a home for all to enjoy.
With no passport required, Bun Voyage, still takes you on a journey around the world with their internationally-inspired sweet treats.

Esplanade Hotel
There’s a new place to grab a coffee after yoga, settle in for a seaside lunch with the family or knock off for sunset drinks. And while it may be a fresh face on the scene, the name will be very familiar to locals.
Brighton’s Esplanade Hotel, better known simply as the Espy, has reopened after almost a year of renovations, revealing the results of a huge $11.5 million redevelopment.

Francesca’s
Christies Beach has a new reason to head down to the foreshore, with Adelaide pizza favourite Francesca’s officially opening its third site, and it has squeezed an entire pizza kitchen into a shipping container.
Francesca’s Pizza + Sandos, situated on Beach Road, brings its signature wood-fired Neapolitan and Sicilian pizzas further south for the first time.

Frankly Bagels
Adelaide’s bagel boom has officially made its way to Kent Town, with Frankly Bagels opening the doors to its newest store on King William Street.
The local bagel favourite has added a third location to its growing Adelaide footprint, joining its line up of Prospect and Norwood stores.

Lumu Cake & Coffee
Walking into Torrensville’s newest cafe, it’s obvious that care and consideration have gone into every detail. For owner Agnes, getting each little element of Lumu Cake & Coffee just right has been a labour of love, from the cakes sitting neatly behind the glass to the warm timber, soft lighting and little marshmallow characters that add a touch of charm.
Just off Henley Beach Road, away from the sounds of cars zooming by, Lumu sits quietly on Jervois Street with its doors open for locals looking for their next go-to cafe.

Penny Red Beer Co
A major new chapter is unfolding in the heart of McLaren Vale, with Penny Red Beer Co transforming the former Red Poles site into a larger brewery, dining and entertainment destination.
The independent brewery has moved from its original home in The Range to a more central McMurtrie Road location, giving owners Jess and Craig room to spread their wings. Set among gardens, bushland and vines, the new Penny Red already has outdoor spaces, craft beer, local wines and pizzas, with plenty more planned.

Per Te
There’s a new mood settling into the Italian Club on Carrington Street, where the former Vespa Cafe has been transformed into Per Te, a warm new Italian restaurant designed to feel a little more like dinner at nonna’s house.
The new restaurant already looks very different from its former daytime identity, with olive tones, warmer finishes and a rendered concrete-style feature wall setting the scene for long dinners and family catch-ups.

Phins
A new Vietnamese eatery is taking shape in Goolwa, with Phins preparing to open today and bring a fresh new lunch option to the region.
Adelaide-born chef Aaron Reid is behind the venture, bringing more than 15 years of kitchen experience to the Fleurieu town. Known in many kitchens as “A-train”, Aaron started out as a dishwasher before working his way through some of Adelaide’s best-known restaurants, including Melt, Press Food & Wine and Osteria Oggi.

Strada Food Industry
A brand new venue has quietly opened in Adelaide’s east, bringing refined Italian street food, house-made focaccia and family recipes to an unexpected pocket of Glynde. Strada Food Industry has opened on Provident Avenue, with the owners hoping to introduce a style of high-quality street food they felt was otherwise missing from the area.
Owner Daniel is no stranger to hospitality, having spent around 30 years in the industry before taking a three-to-four-year break. For his return, he has brought former Bloom executive chef Sam Smith on board to lead the food offering.

The Wharf and Co.
Marina Pier’s much-loved The Wharf & Co. has unveiled a fresh new look, revamped menu and new direction as the long-running waterfront venue begins its next chapter.
The restaurant has been reimagined with contemporary coastal interiors, a new head chef and a seasonal bistro-style menu, while retaining the sweeping marina views that have made it a familiar part of the precinct for almost two decades.
