The girl was trapped inside the Pulsar with her mother, a 35-year-old Christie Downs woman.
Residents described hearing the crash from inside their homes.
“It was like a bomb going off,” resident Ann Learwood said.
“It was loud enough that I thought something had hit the house,” another local resident Stacey Taylor said.

Incredibly, the driver of the Subaru, a 37-year-old Seaford Meadows man, suffered minor injuries.
Witnesses say he immediately got out of his vehicle and tried to help the mother and daughter trapped inside the Pulsar.
“He ran out and just went to try and open the door,” Learwood said.
“All he remembered was just the impact and the airbags going off,” Taylor added.
Other bystanders rushed to help, including retired trauma nurse Deb, who found the child unresponsive but still showing signs of life.
Despite desperate efforts by residents and emergency crews, the girl died at the scene.
“It’s very, very sad,” Learwood said.
“It would just be heartbreaking for her. My heart goes out to her and, of course, the other driver as well,” Taylor said.

The girl’s mother was freed from the wreckage by firefighters using the jaws of life and taken to hospital with serious injuries.
Major Crash investigators remained at the scene late into the night as they worked to determine what caused the collision.
Police are appealing for anyone who witnessed either vehicle travelling on Commercial Rd before the crash to contact them.
