Today will be the breeziest day of the stretch, with north to northwesterly winds picking up before swinging west to southwesterly in the early afternoon as a cold front moves through South Australia. Adelaide is expected to stay mostly sunny for much of Sunday, though there is a medium chance of a late shower this evening. The city is heading for a top of 23 degrees, with slightly warmer conditions in outer suburbs including Elizabeth, forecast to reach 24 degrees.
That cooler change will be more noticeable on Monday, when Adelaide drops to 17 degrees after an overnight low of 10. Skies will be partly cloudy, with just a slight chance of a shower early in the morning before conditions settle. Southeasterly winds will follow the front, making for a cooler feel across the city than the weekend finish.
Tuesday starts cold, with a low of 7 degrees and the kind of crisp spring morning that may have many reaching for an extra layer. Sunshine is expected to dominate though, and Adelaide should climb to a pleasant 20 degrees as winds ease and shift from easterly to northeasterly. By Wednesday, that warming trend continues, with another sunny day and a top of 25 degrees after a morning minimum of 11.
The warmest weather of the week arrives on Thursday and Friday, with Adelaide forecast to reach 28 degrees on both days. Partly cloudy skies are expected, but rain chances remain low. Northeasterly winds on Thursday will turn northwesterly through the day, while Friday stays fairly light before west to northwesterly winds pick up later. Rainfall totals are expected to stay low for most districts, with less than 2mm forecast in the southern agricultural area and far west, although thunderstorms in the far west could bring local falls of 2 to 5mm.
