A 23-year-old woman had been stabbed.
Despite attempts from paramedics and police, the woman could not be saved and died at the home.
NSW Police officers were told a man had fled the property before their arrival.
Around 8pm on Saturday, police arrested a man at a nearby home.
The 31-year-old was charged with domestic violence murder.
He was refused bail and is expected to appear in court on Sunday.
Police allege the 23-year-old woman and the man were in a “domestic relationship”.
The news comes hours after police announced a 37-year-old man had been charged with domestic violence murder after the fatal stabbing of a 90-year-old woman at a home in Bondi Beach.
A third woman was killed on Saturday in Mole River, about 40 minutes west of Tenterfield.
Just hours after the death, the body of another woman in her 70s was found at Mole River in the state’s north.
Police were called to reports of a domestic violence incident in the regional district about 9.35pm.
Investigators believe a 37-year-old man entered a property and tried to steal a vehicle before assaulting the 74-year-old resident.
The younger man was arrested and police then went on to search the neighbouring property where they found the body of a woman in her 70s, who is yet to be formally identified.
Part of the house was damaged by fire, police said.
A crime scene has been established at both locations and an investigation launched with help from the homicide squad.
