Last week, to bring in the festivities for Ganesh Chaturthi, Kapoor turned to designer Manish Malhotra for a sari look draped in seedha pallu style. The XXL paisley motifs on the sari, the border and the matching halterneck-inspired blouse were embroidered in heritage marodi work in an antique gold colour. The same colour translated to Kapoor’s temple jewellery from her label, Indinoor—a necklace with a procession of elephants, ear cuffs and bangle stack.

For the promotions of season 3 of Lust Stories (2018), the actor played into the festive spirit around dressing and chose an off-kilter look from designer Anand Kabra. The anarkali style was showcased as look no 18 from Kabra’s archival collection from 2013 called Taramati, and features a cut-out kurta worn with a two-tone tie-and-dye Farshi salwar with jalidar bottom hem. She accessorised with chandbali earrings with kaan chains.
