In a resurgent Revolution season that has been partly defined by the standout performances of its younger players, it’s fitting that two of them have now officially been called up to the U.S. men’s national team for the first time.
New England left back/winger Peyton Miller and central midfielder Brooklyn Raines were both included in U.S. head coach Mauricio Pochettino’s 28-man roster announced on Thursday. The duo are among 12 players to receive their first senior national team call-ups. The roster will gather for the upcoming four-game international window in late September and early October.
Miller, 18, is one of the most talented players to come out of the Revolution academy. A West Hartford, Connecticut native, he made his debut with the Revolution first team in 2024 at the age of 16. Though he’s been the subject of repeated transfer rumors to Europe, the dynamic left-sided attacker — Miller began his career at left back, but has mostly appeared at left wing in 2026 — signed a contract extension with New England in July. He has five goals and four assists in MLS regular season play across 23 appearances this season.
Raines, 21, was acquired by New England in an offseason trade in late 2025. He made his MLS debut with the Houston Dynamo in 2022 at just 17 years old. Since being acquired by New England, Raines has continued to develop as a versatile midfielder. He has one goal and two assists, adding defensive cover and quality midfield distribution (he’s completed 93-percent of his passes in 2026).

The first-year MLS head coach has built a roster that includes several former U.S. youth national team players who featured for Mitrović at the 2025 FIFA U-20 World Cup (where the U.S. reached the quarterfinal and defeated both France and Italy). The group now includes center-backs Ethan Kohler and Joshua Wynder to go along with Miller and Raines.
The Revolution have gotten quality play from its young players (as well as veterans like Carles Gil and Matt Turner) so far in 2026, and currently sit third in the Eastern Conference. It’s a departure from the previous two seasons, when the club settled near the bottom of the standings and failed to make the playoffs.
The U.S. will play four upcoming friendlies: Peru on Sept. 26 at 4:30 p.m. in Florida, Chile on Sept. 29 at 8 p.m. in Missouri, Mexico on Oct. 3 at 9 p.m. in Arizona, and Canada on Oct. 6 at 8p.m. in Minnesota.
The Revolution will also play a game on Sept. 26, facing Real Salt Lake on the road. In the short term, New England will host Orlando City on Saturday at 7:30 p.m.
