Ritika and Devansh Gupta’s wedding at Grand Hyatt Mumbai Hotel & Residences brought together distinct visual worlds across its celebrations, with WeddingSutra Favorite – Elusive Dreams by Pooja Doshi designing the overall aesthetic, WeddingSutra Favorite – Mokhshiva Entertainment producing the decor, and WeddingSutra Favorite – Reet Entertainment overseeing the planning. From a vibrant Mamera inspired by Rajasthan and Punjabi traditions to a celestial Sangeet, a playful summer-inspired Haldi brunch, and a grand Vrindavan-inspired wedding and reception, each event had its own personality while remaining part of a cohesive celebration.
The festivities began with the Mamera, where a striking ‘Padharo Sa’ installation set the tone for the welcome. Drawing from Rajasthan’s famed hospitality while incorporating Punjabi vibrance, the décor featured bold colours, folk-inspired illustrations and handcrafted details. Peacocks, floral motifs, fresh corn and local produce added character to the setting, with layered textures bringing together the two cultural influences in an easy, celebratory way.
For the Sangeet, the ballroom was transformed into an immersive celestial setting. The welcome installation featured abundant florals, sweeping curves and a moon-inspired backdrop, offering guests a glimpse of the evening to come. Inside, thousands of suspended celestial elements, shimmering crystal details, layered lighting and an ethereal stage created the illusion of a night sky indoors. The result was dramatic without losing the celebratory energy of the evening.
The Haldi brunch took a lighter, more playful turn with a summer art-inspired aesthetic. Pastel pink and white florals were arranged in loose, garden-style compositions, while colourful candles, fresh fruits, illustrated stationery and quirky accents added a youthful touch. Tables were layered with pineapples, citrus fruits, tomatoes and other produce, bringing an element of freshness to the décor. The mix of florals, fruit, colour and playful details made the setting feel relaxed and perfectly suited to a daytime celebration.
For the wedding and reception, the teams took on a much larger transformation, with the setup taking 72 hours to build. The décor brought the visual language of Brij Bhumi to Mumbai, with peacock motifs forming a recurring detail across the setting. Ornate arches, temple-inspired facades and hand-detailed prints created a sense of place, while the colour palette evolved through the celebrations, moving from soft pastels during the day to deeper, richer tones as evening arrived. Urli arrangements, candelabras, ritual trays and layered floral installations added detail without overwhelming the space.
The reception leaned into the grandeur of Rajasthan, with regal architectural elements, golden accents and abundant florals creating a polished setting for the evening. Despite the scale of the production, the décor remained rooted in the overall storytelling, allowing the wedding to move seamlessly from its devotional-inspired daytime aesthetic into a more glamorous evening celebration.

Our focus was on ensuring that every element came together seamlessly and that the transformation was completed exactly as envisioned,” says Chetan Chauhan of Mokhshiva Entertainment. Anchor JK brought energy and engagement to the celebrations, keeping guests entertained and the festivities flowing seamlessly across each event. Across the celebrations, the wedding balanced tradition with a contemporary design sensibility. Each event introduced a new visual chapter, from the colourful Mamera and immersive Sangeet to the easygoing Haldi brunch and richly detailed wedding and reception, creating a celebration that felt varied, considered and distinctly their own.
