Some payments have different rates
For essential services such as fuel, railways, telecom, insurance and utility bills, the MDR is a flat Rs 5 for eligible payments above Rs 2,000. For mutual funds, securities, stockbrokers and dealers, it is 0.02%, capped at Rs 300.
