For the Ganesh Chaturthi celebration at Antilia, Radhika Ambani wore a fuchsia and gold Kanchipuram sari by Manish Malhotra. The ensemble was designed with her Bharatanatyam performance in mind. Rather than a conventional six-yard Kanchipuram, Malhotra created a pre-stitched silhouette with structured pleats that opened out as Ambani moved. Draped in the Gujarati seedha pallu style, the embroidered fabric spread across the front as she performed.
The ensemble featured a short-sleeved blouse in the same rich pink, densely embroidered with gold thread. Its neckline was framed with rows of fine gold work, while the sleeves featured horizontal bands of embroidery. Small gold floral butis ran across the pink fabric of the lower half of the front-facing pallu, while the broad hem was finished with intricate gold embroidery. The large floral and paisley-esque motifs were accentuated with gold marodi embroidery and zardozi details worked into the handwoven silk alongside gold zari.
The jewellery drew as much attention as the sari. Her stylist, Esther Pinto, paired it with a wide kamarbandh at the waist, a layered kundan-style necklace featuring rows of stones set in gold, with pear-shaped green emerald drops along the lower edge. Her earrings, mathapatti and maang tikka followed the same design. She finished with two stacked bangles on each hand.
For beauty, Flavien Heldt pulled her hair into a sleek bun decorated with flowers. Makeup artist Loveleen Bhandari added winged eyeliner, rosy cheeks and a small red bindi.
