Have you ever come across a beauty supermarket find that makes you look at your trolley differently?

You go in for milk, leave with groceries and somehow end up wondering whether the beauty aisle has been keeping secrets from you.

The Australian-owned beauty brand has made a name for itself by bringing more considered beauty products into the supermarket aisle, and its Nourish Sweet Almond & Vanilla Shower Oil is proving to be a vey popular pick.

Since launching, the shower oil has sold more than 290,000 units, which is a fairly convincing number for something most of us probably think of as the most functional product in the bathroom.

And the price makes it even more of a steal; it is $22 at Woolworths.

The Nourish Shower Oil is designed to gently cleanse the skin while helping to maintain its moisture.

The formula starts as an oil before transforming into a soft, milky micro-foam when it meets water, giving your usual shower routine a slightly more luxurious feel.

The star ingredient is Sweet Almond Oil, which is known for its moisturising properties. The brand says the formula is designed to leave skin feeling soft and hydrated, making it particularly appealing if your skin tends to feel dry after showering.

Sweet Almond & Vanilla is exactly the sort of combination that sounds dangerously edible, even though this is very much a shower product and should remain firmly in the bathroom.

The fragrance is warm, sweet and comforting, lingering lightly on the skin after use.

One shopper has already put it rather perfectly, writing: “I adore the smell of this shower oil, it’s a sweet yummy scent I wish I could eat!”

They also said they use it on their “super sensitive legs instead of body wash”, adding that their eczema-prone skin enjoys the extra hydration.

Another detail stood out: despite being an oil, the shopper said it did not feel greasy and compared the experience to applying a body oil that absorbs quickly.

Perhaps most tellingly, they finished by saying it reminded them of “a super expensive brand”.

That is the sort of supermarket beauty review that makes me stop scrolling.

The formula is naturally derived, paraben-free and free from SLS and SLES. It is also vegan-friendly and cruelty-free.

The product is intended for normal to dry skin, with the brand positioning it as a gentle option for cleansing without leaving skin feeling stripped.

Of course, everyone’s skin is different, especially when it comes to sensitivity. If you have a specific skin condition or known ingredient sensitivities, it is worth checking the ingredient list before introducing any new body product.

Still, I can understand why a $22 shower oil has found such a large audience. Showering is one of those everyday rituals that can easily become completely forgettable.

Adding an oil that turns into a milky foam, smells like vanilla and almond, and leaves your skin feeling moisturised makes the whole thing feel a little more special without requiring a trip to a day spa.

Thanks To Nature proves you do not need a bathroom filled with expensive bottles to make your routine feel elevated.

Sometimes, you just need one good find from the supermarket aisle.
