Ahead of the Punjab elections, the Bharatiya Janata Party has stepped up its campaign over the drug menace in the state following the death of Gulzar due to suspected drug abuse. The party will launch the Nasha Mukt Punjab Yatra from 18 to 30 September to target the AAP government and highlight the issue of drug abuse. The first leg of the yatra will start from Pathankot and culminate in Jalandhar, featuring five major rallies. The campaign aims to provide a platform to affected families, turn the campaign into a public movement, and reach an estimated three crore people across the state.
