Netflix on Thursday unveiled the first teaser for The Mosquito Bowl, a new war drama filmed across Queensland and northern New South Wales.
Directed by Peter Berg, the film tells the true story of four college football stars who put their sporting careers aside to enlist in the US Marines following the attack on Pearl Harbor.
Nicholas Galitzine, Bill Skarsgård, Ray Nicholson and Tom Francis star as the four athletes as they prepare for the brutal invasion of Okinawa.

As they await deployment, they take part in a legendary football game featuring some of the greatest players in history — a game that would be the last for many of those involved.
Australian locations were used to recreate several settings in the story, with the Queensland and northern New South Wales landscapes standing in for Marine training grounds and the Pacific Theatre.
Berg previously described Queensland’s landscapes as “cinematic gold”, saying they were perfect for bringing the story to life.
The Australian production was supported by the Australian Government through the Location Offset, the Queensland Government through Screen Queensland’s Production Attraction Strategy, and the City of Gold Coast.

The Mosquito Bowl will receive a limited theatrical release from October 30, before arriving on Netflix on November 25.
