When Bihar’s villages were submerged, engineer Prashant Kumar looked for a way to keep basic services running during floods. He built a climate-resilient floating house and later created a floating water station that provides 4,000 litres of clean drinking water every day, along with medicines and essential supplies.
Now, he wants to take the idea further with floating healthcare centres and more stations in flood-prone areas. Because during a disaster, help should reach people—even when the roads disappear.
