Nutrition and habit coach Mitali Nopany and Dhananjay Somani’s wedding brought together four celebrations, each with its own distinct mood. Planned by WeddingSutra Favorite – The Event Tokree and beautifully captured by WeddingSutra Favorite – Epic Stories, the festivities moved from a fresh and floral Welcome Lunch to a contemporary Sangeet, a grand traditional Wedding and an intimate After Party inspired by the speakeasy bar where the couple first met.
Wedding Planning
The couple wanted each event to feel different while maintaining an elegant and consistent overall experience. The Event Tokree developed each setting around its individual brief, while ensuring that the transitions between functions felt seamless.
“We wanted every function to have its own personality without losing the sense of continuity across the celebrations,” Dembla and Shruti Khurana of The Event Tokree. “The Welcome Lunch was kept fresh and floral, the Sangeet was more dramatic and contemporary, and the Wedding brought in grandeur and tradition. For the After Party, we went in a completely different direction.” The After Party was especially personal to the couple, drawing inspiration from the speakeasy bar where they first met. “We wanted to recreate that intimate, slightly mysterious feeling through darker tones, atmospheric lighting and personalised details,” they add. “It was important that the space felt connected to their story rather than simply being another party.”
Wedding Functions
Welcome Lunch
The celebrations began with a light and welcoming garden-inspired setup. Florals, soft colours and carefully considered details reflected the couple’s preference for a relaxed and elegant aesthetic. The layout was kept open and easy to navigate, creating a comfortable setting for guests to begin the celebrations.
Sangeet
The Sangeet took a more dramatic and contemporary turn. Celestial-inspired installations, layered lighting and a strong stage design gave the evening a distinctive look. The setting was designed to feel immersive, with the lighting and décor working together to create a more theatrical atmosphere.
Wedding
The Wedding brought in grandeur with a strong traditional Indian influence. Rich details and opulent elements were paired with cleaner styling to keep the setting contemporary. The result was a regal yet refined décor scheme that felt celebratory without appearing overly elaborate.
After Party
The After Party was designed around the speakeasy bar where the couple first met. Darker tones, intimate spaces and atmospheric lighting created a more relaxed and private mood after the Wedding. Personalised elements tied the décor back to the couple’s story, making the final celebration feel distinctly their own.
