Four people have been charged with murder following the discovery of a baby who was stabbed to death in a UK home.
Two men, aged 19 and 38, and two women, aged 20 and 37, were charged on Wednesday morning over the death of the newborn girl, found in a house in Sheffield.
The newborn’s body was discovered by South Yorkshire Police responding to concerns over the safety of the infant at the property in the suburb of Wincobank on Sunday.

Apart from charges of murder, the four adults have also been charged with causing or allowing the death of a child and perverting the course of justice by taking steps to conceal the killing of an infant, according to the BBC.
A 15-year-old girl will also face charges of perverting the course of justice and is in custody with the other four as they await appearances at Sheffield Magistrates Court later on today.
Police identified the four adults as Peter Horvath, 19, Andrea Skopova, 20, Nina Horvathova, 37, and Peter Horvath, 38, all who are residents of Sheffield.
An additional two woman, aged 26 and 37, were initially arrested on suspicion of murder on Monday, but have since been released on bail.
Detective Chief Inspector Tom Woodward described the charges as a “significant step in our investigation into the tragic circumstances that resulted in the death of this baby girl”.
“I would like to thank our communities, who I know will have been deeply impacted by this traumatic incident, for supporting us as we work through this intricate investigation.
“We would ask the public to avoid speculating and posting information online about this case while the legal process takes it course.
“Protecting the integrity of the criminal justice process is crucial to us securing justice for this little girl.”
