Today, Sadia Imam appeared on ARY Digital’s morning show Good Morning Pakistan, which is hosted by Nida Yasir. During the show, Sadia Imam revealed that she was often used and betrayed by her male colleagues in the industry.

Talking about it, Sadia Imam said, “My experience is different from Natasha’s. When I came into the industry, there were very few female actresses. Either there were very senior or very junior actresses working; there was no one at my level. Only Maria Wasti was working, and she was from Lahore and also senior to me. All I had were male colleagues around me, so I can say I was stabbed in the back by my male colleagues and friends from the industry. On a few occasions, they literally betrayed me. My father used to say that instead of having fake friends, you should be alone. At that time, we didn’t understand his advice because we needed people. I learned my lessons with time, and by the grace of God, that time passed well. But many times, I overheard my male friends’ discussions about me. They used to say, ‘Don’t cast Sadia Imam, as she’s not a party girl; she doesn’t enjoy during the shootings.’ We used to shoot dramas abroad, so they had issues with me being on a foreign trip. They wanted friendly girls around them, so they used to cut me out or give me second leads. I have seen these things involving colleagues who were very close to me, who literally ate with me, sat with me, and used to come to my house all the time.” Here is the link to the video:
