Thousands of reality TV fans packed Sydney’s Hordern Pavilion yesterday as Hayu FanFest brought some of the genre’s biggest stars together under one roof.
The first Australian event featured Bravo celebrities, Housewives favourites and plenty of reality TV drama as fans got up close with the stars of their favourite shows.
Among the guests were The Real Housewives stars Cynthia Bailey, Meredith Marks, Dorinda Medley and Alexia Nepola, alongside Australian-born The Real Housewives of London star Juliet Mayhew, Below Deck Down Under’s Captain Jason Chambers and Southern Charm stars Craig Conover and Shep Rose.

Fans were treated to panels, meet-and-greets and interactive activations throughout the event, while Meredith Marks and Dorinda Medley also took to the decks for DJ sets, with Marks even playing Olivia Newton-John’s “You’re The One That I Want”.

Hayu ambassador Dean McCarthy hosted the event, with Sharyn Casey, Tim Collins, Gen Fricker and Justin Hill also joining the local hosting line-up for panels and interviews.
The event also gave fans a first look at season two of The Real Housewives of London, with Hayu unveiling a three-minute teaser for the returning series ahead of its September launch.
Hayu also partnered with TikTok for the event, with a dedicated #HayuFanFest content hub and live coverage from the pink carpet helping take the Sydney event to audiences around the world.
The event comes as Hayu celebrates a decade in Australia, with the streamer saying fans who missed FanFest, or those wanting to relive it, will soon be able to stream footage from the event on Hayu.
